Acting Governor Teguh Commits for Preparing Proper Housing

This was conveyed by Teguh during the handover of Pasar Rumput Flat key in Setiabudi, South Jakarta together with Minister of Housing and Residential Area, Maruarar Sirait; Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian; and Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, Agus Jabo Priyono.

The key handover at Pasar Rumput Flat was also attended by Perumda Pasar Jaya Director, Agus Himawan Widiyanto. The handover was run symbolically to representatives of prospective occupants from teachers, Army, residents, and millennials.

Teguh said that total number of residences at Pasar Rumput Flat is 1,984 units. 689 of them are intended for programmed communities, including Manggarai fire survivors who are allowed to live in for free up to October 27, 2025.

"The flat is also prepared for Ciliwung River residents relocation," he said, Thursday (11/28).

He added that 1,295 units of Pasar Rumput Flat are provided for low-income people. There are 1,314 prospective occupants have registered until today.

"334 registrants to receive the keys as they had completed the administration process," Teguh added.

Pasar Rumput Flat rental price per unit is varied, starting from Rp 1,100,000 to Rp 2,250,000.

Jakarta Provincial Government will also map other Rusunawa in Jakarta that are still unoccupied.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, Maruarar Sirait, said the government is moving quickly yo provide affordable housing for low-income people. This is in accordance with Presidents Prabowo Subianto's direction.

"Prabowo stated the policy must be based on people needs. Policy implementation must be directly run on the field," he said.

He added that central government together with Jakarta Provincial Government will also relocate residents living under the toll road to KS Tubun Flat.

Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, Agus Jabo Priyono expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Housing and Residential Areas, Maruarar Sirait and Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi for providing decent and affordable housing for residents.

"Hopefully it will give benefit for the occupants," he stated.

He also hopes that Pasar Rumput Flat can become a prototype for building housing in other areas that are needed by the residents.

"We should not let our people live under bridges, or on the sides of the road. Minister of Social Affairs is actively involved with Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Public Housing in the process of preparing public housings," he explained.

One of the Pasar Rumput Flat occupants, Syarifudin (33) admitted happy to rent a unit in the flat with standard type.

"The location is strategic and accessible with integrated public transportation," he admitted.

As for information, Pasar Rumput Flat has two types, namely the hook type with an area of 38 square meters and the standard type with an area of 36 square meters.

The flat is also completed with supporting facilities such as traditional market, early-childhood school, resident's hall, minimart, food court, ATM center,, library, and praying house.
